THE STORY

Loud City is Grammy nominated producer/songwriter Dan Grossman from Bainbridge Island, Washington. Over the last decade Dan has been producing Reggae/Dancehall music, having many successful placements with some of Jamaica’s biggest artists including, Sizzla, Koffee, Popcaan, Vybz Kartel, Skip Marley, Collie Buddz, Kranium and many more. The diversity of production you can expect includes many musical genres well beyond reggae. Blurring the lines between styles is one of the many secrets to the unique sound of Loud City.

Way before Dan was known as Loud City, he got his start collecting vinyl hot off the press from Jamaica, quickly turning the records into mixtapes with his childhood friends. The tapes would lead to DJ gigs, everything from house parties to weekly club nights. Combining an ear for crowd pleasing records with his multi-instrumentalists roots, Dan naturaly transitioned into original production. Starting out with an MPC a Guitar and a keyboard, his collection of sounds grew into an eclectic set of both acoustic and electronic instruments. Known for ear catching arrangements and melodic compositions, Loud City’s musical output is a mix of reggae/dancehall, trap, pop, country and instrumental music. Three Grammy nominations and many sync placements later, Dan continues to produce tracks for a diverse set of artists as well as digging deep into songwriting with a serious focus on country music.
